Engadget has got some internal documents of Best Buy showing the launch date of Motorola Xoom the Honeycomb tablet. According to the leaked docs Best Buy is going launch the Tegra 2 powered tablet on February 17. Motorola Xoom packs 32GB of internal memory and will cost you about $799.
If Apple reveals iPad 2 on February 9 then it is going to affect the sales of Motorola Xoom. As most of the people would like to buy a tablet with a vast choice of apps and games and there are more than 60,000 iPad apps and games available at iTunes App Store, and all other iPhone apps are also compatible with it. But what about Motorola Xoom? Is the Honeycomb powered tablet compatible with the old Android Market apps? If it is than still it will have a few apps at launch in comparison to Apple iPad 2.
One more thing I forgot, there will be a huge price difference as Motorola Xoom is expected to cost about $799, whereas iPad costs $499 and I hope that iPad 2 wouldn’t cost more than the original iPad.
