Alex from deviantart has released a theme inspired from Windows Phone 7 Series. The Omnimo UI theme is based on an open-source desktop customization platform “Rainmeter”. Omnimo UI theme will ad live tiles to your Windows Desktop similar to Windows Phone 7 Series. You can receive all the updates like new mails, tweets, weather, feeds etc on your desktop. Its easy to install, no need to replace system files.
Fllow the steps below to enjoy the Metro UI on your Windows Xp, Vista or 7.
- Download Rainmeter from here and install it.
- Now download the Omnimo UI theme from here and extract the file.
- Make sure you have rainmeter installed in Program Files and it was run at least once, and also make sure your Rainmeter\Skins folder is located in Documents.
- Now goto to the downloaded pack Omnimo UI\Data\Skins and copy the WP7 folder to Documents\Rainmeter\Skins
- Again head to downloaded pack Data\Themes\ copy the “Omnimo” folder to %APPDATA\Roaming\Rainmeter\Themes.
- Launch the Rainmeter right click the tray icon, and from themes select Omnimo.
- Enjoy the Windows Phone 7 Series style on Windows.
