HTC Hero to get Android 2.1 in March

HTC Hero is one of the successive phone from HTC Android series. So, its important for it to be awarded with the latest Android 2.1. According to a representative of an Irish mobile operator Meteor, HTC is going to release the update 2.1 for the HTC Hero in March.

Meteor representative on company’s official forum said:

“Just got another update on this and HTC have said they are releasing 2.1 on the Hero and we are hoping to have this available by the end of March.

This will be available via the HTC website and we are also looking at other ways to make this update easier to access for our customers. As soon as I hear any more on this I’ll let you all now because I know the release of 2.1 is something that everyone is looking forward to.”

    They just put the HTC 2 months ago, six months behind many of other mobile operators in the world. Why would they know more than the others?I think this information is just a random answer from one of the “customer care” girls on the question “When Android 2.1 is going to pe released on HERO” asked by an irish Hero owner. I bet that the girl in cause does not even know what Android means…

    I been using for almost a month. no regret. most of the basic function been very good. the only problem is that for sms, it tend to auto change the word. esp for letter “i” and “u” which is so near each other, it totally change the subject and meaning of the sms.
