Hackers at xda-forums have successfully rooted the Motorola Droid 2 only after two weeks of its release. Rooting your Droid 2 will give you full control over device. You will be able to alter system files, install themes, run special Apps, install different ROMs etc. The initial rooting guide is bit complicated, but I hope that One-click root for Droid 2 will be available soon.
