Although the Adam I was not up to the standards of the current market, Notion Ink have confirmed that they would be developing Adam II. Equipped with Android 4.0, an OMAP44xx processor, Wi-Link 7.0, and audio parts.

Notion Ink would also be releasing what it calls a “Modular Based Software Architecture” which would basically be able to facilitate in the drag-and-drop application development. The company claims this would enable humans to create, “logic analyzer, media imaging [...], 3D modeling, and multi-media” apps.

It would be interesting to see if this can take the market share from giants like iPad and others.

Gameloft’s action filled shooter game 9mm has finally become available in the Android Market place. The app was previously available only in the App Store for iOS but the Android version was due and now that has also been delivered. The game is inspired by popular RockStar console game Max Payne and features similar gameplay.

You can play 9mm online with your friends and other opponents in Free for All and Team Deathmatch gunfights with up to 12 other players. 4 different maps are available for online multiplayer mode.

The wait is over guys, Google has finally released its official Docs app for Android devices. The app brings Google Docs experience through a native app to Android devices. The app lets you create and edit documents stored on the cloud and share them with others who can do the same. With Google Docs app you can also share documents to people in your phone’s address book on the go.

Google Docs app for Android also has a feature that i will not hesitate to call magical. It can convert unformatted English text into digital font when you take a photo of a document. It won’t recognize handwriting or some fonts but Google promises to make it better in future updates, pretty handy. right?

CNN has just released its official app for Android devices. The app just like its iOS counterpart brings fresh news and other content to the palm of Android users. The app is available for free and runs on devices running Android 2.1 and above. With this app you can watch videos, read articles, view and upload iReports,  listen to podcasts, and stay updated with latest news from around the world.

Google has released Google Maps 5.3 app for Android devices. The app now lets you to check your location history, add check in at “home,” and add your own aspects for places when rating them. Google Maps 5.3 now lets you check location history from the app itself, just like you do on your dashboard on google.com/latitude if you have enabled location history for Google Latitude. Now the app lets you see right on your phone how far you’ve travelled as well as an estimate of how much time you’ve spent at home, at work, or out.

Google Maps 5.3 also lets you to add your own aspects for any place, so if you like or dislike any place then simply add your views about the place using the app, and they will be live for everyone in the world to see.

All of us know how bad it is to stuck in the traffic when you have a lot of other important things to do. Well that can change if you have an Android device loaded with Google Maps. Google Maps can now make alternative routes for you so that you can avoid traffic jams without asking for any effort from your side. The service is called Google Maps Navigation (Beta). You don’t have to do anything to be routed around traffic, just launch Navigation like you normally would, either from the Navigation app or from within Google Maps and rest will be done by Google Maps Navigation.

Starting today, our routing algorithms will also apply our knowledge of current and historical traffic to select the fastest route from those alternates. That means that Navigation will automatically guide you along the best route given the current traffic conditions.

Google Maps Navigation service is available in North America and Europe, where navigation and real-time traffic date is available.

This service is currently available for Android only, sadly iPhone users will have to wait for it to come on their platform.

Google has released the official Blogger app for Android users. The app is now available for free download in the Android Market. Using the Blogger app you can quickly access your blogs on the go, update them easily by composing posts and attaching images you took with your camera or from gallery.
