Following its rapid release cycle, Mozilla has released the Firefox 5 beta for Windows, Mac and Linux. After five weeks of testing Firefox 5 in the Aurora builds, first beta of the Firefox 5 is now available for public download. Firefox 5 beta brings several performance and stability fixes, easy channel switching, support for the new CSS Animations standard and more.

Along with the beta for desktop, Mozilla has also dropped Firefox 5 beta for Android devices. The new beta brings support for Do Not Track feature, improved performance, smoother scrolling and many other bug fixes. Firefox for Android is compatible with devices running Android 2.0 or later.

The final version of Firefox 5 for both desktop and mobile will be released on June 21.

Mozilla has just released the Firefox 4 RC 2 to fix the last minute bugs. RC 2 was’nt in the schedule but its seems that developers have found bugs that needed to be fixed before the final release. Firefox 4 final build is set to released on March 22.

Mozilla has released the Firefox 4 RC (Release Candidate) for Windows, Mac and Linux. This build fixes bugs and brings stability, performance, and compatibility improvements. According to Mozilla 70% of Firefox adds-on are now compatible with the Firefox 4 and more than 8,000 bugs since the first beta release.

Mike Beltzner the Director of Firefox says “this RC represents the code we intend to ship as Firefox 4″. Means there are no more changes that needs to be included in the final version. Firefox 4 is almost ready and we are expecting the final release within next fifteen days.

Mozilla has released the Firefox 4 beta 12 for Windows, Mac and Linux. The beta 12 enhances Flash contents performance and improves hardware acceleration compatibility. Moreover hovering a link now displays the URL at the bottom of the window rather than in the URL bar. Firefox 4 is almost ready and we are just one build away from the final release.

Mozilla has released the 5th beta of its popular browser Firefox 4 (Fennec) for Android and Maemo. The new build is mostly focused on stability, usability, and performance. Mozilla has just released the Firefox 4 beta 11. The new beta brings support for Do Not Track (DNT) header and a refreshed default homepage. Do Not Track feature allows you to set a browser preference that will broadcast your desire to opt-out of third party, advertising-based tracking. You can enable DNT feature under Tools>Options>Advanced, in the General tab. Still beta 12 and release candidate builds are there before the final release.

What’s new in Firefox 4 beta 11:

• Support for the proposed Do Not Track (“DNT”) header
• Connection status messages are now shown in a small overlay
• WebGL has been re-enabled on Linux
• The default homepage design has been refreshed
• Firefox no longer switches into offline mode automatically
