According to Reuters, people familiar with this matter have told them that the production of iPhone 5 will start in July or August. They also report that the next gen iPhone will pack a faster processor (probably an A5 Dual Core chip like iPad 2) and will hit the shelves in September.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone will have a faster processor and will begin shipping in September, three people with direct knowledge of the company’s supply chain said.

Apple products are very important for its manufacturers too, as Reuters quotes Vincent Chen, who says “For some suppliers, Apple is their cash cow, or their bread and butter,”.

Apple sources many of its components from Taiwan-based suppliers, many of whom are expected to benefit from an uptick in sales as some of them rely on the U.S. company for about 20-40 percent of their business, said Vincent Chen, an analyst at Yuanta Securities.

iPhone nano rumors are getting momentum once again. Firstly Bloomberg claimed that Apple is working on a smaller and cheaper model of iPhone that is about one-third smaller than the iPhone 4. Now WSJ is reporting that according to people familiar with the matter Apple is working on a line of less-expensive iPhones.

WSJ reports that the codename of the iPhone nano is N97 and it’s about half the size of the iPhone 4, but lighter. The person who saw the iPhone nano’s prototype said that the device had an edge-to-edge touch screen and voice-based navigation. It’s expected that the new iPhone nano will cost around $199 off contract.

So why Apple needs a cheaper iPhone?

Answer is simple that Apple wants to dominate the mobile market and its only possible with a less expensive device. Moreover it’s also necessary to compete with the fast growing Android and the upcoming variety of Nokia’s Windows Phones.

CanalMX has reported a comment from an Executive of Telcel a Mexican carrier, claiming that Apple is going to re-evaluate the iPhone 4 hardware to fix the reception issue by the end of the September. Read the Google translated statement by CanalMX below.

He [Marco Quatorze, Telcel's Director of Value Added Services] also said that as of September 30 Telcel will be available in new devices that do not have the malfunction of the reception and explained that the company will have several options to make changes from one phone to another flawed not to take: “If the previous plan is over, you will need to hire a new change for iPhone 4. If, for example, already has one and take three months for payment, change the cell with a re-employment and takes into account the previous time, so instead of paying 24 months, only done in 21. “ The question of the case beyond the phone company that we hire, it is worth evaluating whether to purchase the first version of iPhone4 with all its flaws, or wait a month to be available the new version promises to vindicate the reputation of this controversial but attractive device, though no doubt there will be many users who are not willing to lose this dream so long Smartphone.

Also remember the Apple’s Antenna issue Press Conference, where Steve Jobs limited the bumper program to September 30. Here is the response of Steve Jobs when asked by a Bloomberg Journalists about the September 30th limit.

Connie at Bloomberg (The very same with the “Bullshit story about the antenna”): “Why Sept. 30 for case limit?” Answer from Jobs: “We just are going to wait and see, maybe we’ll have a better idea. It’s just a chance to say we’ll reevaluate it in September.”

So, it seems that Apple is going to fix the Antenna issue by re-evaluating iPhone 4′s hardware. We will update you about this newly born rumor as we receive more details.
